National Junior Honor Society Information
The National Junior Honor Society is the most esteemed honor a middle school student can be recognized for. Founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship and Character, the National Junior Honor Society chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
The Eaton NJHS Chapter Requirements:
1. Rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will receive invitations if students meet the Scholarship, Citizenship and Character requirements:
Scholarship- Must have All A's or AB honor roll for 3 nine weeks on their REPORT CARD. (Not progress reports)
Citizenship and Character- NO disciplinary actions to include ISS (in-school suspension) or OSS (out of school suspension)
2. Must write an essay on how you would display the characteristics of Service and Leadership.
3. The faculty council will review all completed packets with fair consideration of student’s candidacy during the selection process.
