TEACHER OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to Ms. Kelley Morgan who was chosen as the 2018 Eaton September Teacher of the Month. Ms. Morgan teaches 6th, and 7th grade grade core subjects. She serves as our Special Education instructional leader. Ms. Morgan helps to schedule student testing and develop individual education plans. She builds strong relationships with students and staff and works above and beyond to meet the unique needs of each student. Please congratulate her and thank her for supporting Eaton Middle School!

Congratulations to Ms. Julie Ledford who was chosen as the 2018 Eaton October Teacher of the Month. Ms. Ledford teaches 6th grade science. She serves as our Hospitality Committee chairperson. Ms. Ledford makes science fun by using hands on activities and holds students accountable for completing their assignments. Please congratulate her and thank her for supporting Eaton Middle School!

Congratulations to Ms. Christina Horn who was chosen as the 2018 Eaton November Teacher of the Month. Ms. Horn teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Art. She serves as our Elective instructional leader and also teaches Excel Art. Ms. Horn sponsors our Art Club and helps to support our Drama club. She recently sponsored our haunted hallway at the Fall Festival and sponsored the Art Show, mural and caricature drawings at our Family Fitness and Fine Arts Night. Congratulations to Ms. Deana Kolan who was chosen as the 2018 Eaton December Teacher of the Month. Ms. Kolan teaches 6th and 7th grade Language Arts. Ms. Kolan sponsors our Drama Club and mentors new teachers. She supported the Fall Festival and led a December drama production. Congratulations to Mr. Andre Innis who was chosen as the 2019 Eaton January Staff Member of the Month. Mr. Innis is our Night Lead custodian. He works tirelessly in the evenings to make sure our building is clean and safe. Mr. Innis recently acted quickly to take care of an emergency situation. Congratulations to Mrs. Lakeisha Pickering who was chosen as the 2019 Eaton February Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Pickering teaches 8th grade Language Arts. She sponsors our National Junior Honor Society and has helped to get socks for needy families. Mrs. Pickering serves as our Language Arts Instructional Leader and is providing a Writer’s Workshop Seminar. She was recently a finalist for teacher of the year. Congratulations to Mrs. Mallory Hinshaw who was chosen as the 2019 Eaton March Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Hinshaw teaches 8th grade Science and helps to sponsor our Ecology Club. She consistently provides FOSS labs to make learning relevant for her students. Mrs. Hinshaw serves as our Science Instructional Leader and is providing a Science SOL Seminar afterschool. Congratulations to Mrs. Arthea Bailey who was chosen as the 2019 Eaton April Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Bailey teaches 7th grade Math and Algebra I. She works hard to develop strong relationships with her students and consistently provides outstanding instruction with higher level questioning and individual help.
